Total Warrior Challenge 7 in IN results Bantamweight Casey Dyer remains unbeaten
The main event of Total Warrior Challenge 7 saw the continued dominance of local Indiana fighter Casey Dyer (5-0) on display versus Andrew Zook (4-3). A rare six foot plus 135 pound fighter, Dyer secured his fifth first round finish in as many fights with an armbar on Zook. The official time came at 2:49 seconds of round one.
The fight was longest of the 21 year old Dyer's pro career. On the undercard the judges received the night off as all 11 pro and amateur bouts ended prior to the third round.
King of Kombat in TX results Derrick Krantz and Edwin Figueroa take home gold
With Strikeforce coming to the Lonestar state the same weekend, Austin promotion King of Kombat put together a stacked card with plenty of local flavor. Three titles were on the line and two Texas prospects picked up the biggest wins of their careers.
In a battle at 155 Derrick Krantz (10-3) took on KOK veteran Ryan Larson (5-2).The fight quickly morphed into a fine grappling exhibition between both men. A guillotine choke attempt by Larson was defended well by Krantz, and it also provided an opening for the 22 year old to finish the fight.

The opening matchup was a grudge match of two bar fighters. Technique was not there but repeated strikes on the ground by Ferguson was enough to get the ref stoppage and a victory for Milbank, SD in this border battle of two towns with a storied rivalry.
Winner: Mitch Ferguson via tko at 2:45 of the first round.
XFO Outdoor War in IL results Daniel Straus pounds out Joe Pearson
Jeff Curran's XFO promotion returned to the great outdoors for its sixth annual Outdoor War event: a summer fight card held at Sideouts in Island Lake, Illinois. The main event featured Midwest veteran Joe Pearson (36-15-1) taking on lightweight prospect Daniel Straus (12-3).
Straus, a wrestler out of Ohio, played to his strengths versus the visibly smaller Pearson. Round one featured a series of power takedowns from Straus, followed by a nice display of ground n' pound on the fallen Pearson.

Shark Fights finalizes September 11th card with Paul Daley vs. Jorge Masvidal

Shark Fight Promotions announced today that UFC veteran Paul Daley will step into the cage with American Top Team fighter, Jorge "Gamebred" Masvidal September 11th at Shark Fights 13 in Amarillo, Texas. This will be Daley's first bout in the U.S. following his highly publicized departure from the UFC.
According to Brent Medley, president of Shark Fight Promotions, "Choosing the right opponent to face a high-level contender like Daley was not easy. Numerous A-list fighters were under consideration. When we heard that Jorge Masvidal wanted to return to the welterweight division after several grueling weight cuts from 185lbs to 155lbs, he became our clear choice. We immediately approached Masvidal about the bout and he did not hesitate to step up to the challenge."

A seven fight pro card promoted by the North American Fighting Championship hit the Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Wisconsin. An action packed card was highlighted by six of the seven bouts finishing up by the second round. In the main event one time UFC and Bellator lightweight Nick Agallar (23-6) picked up his 23rd win of his pro career.
Steel Cage MMA in TX results -135 lb prospect Joseph Sandoval finishes off Doug Frey
A seven fight pro mixed martial arts card at the Dr. Pepper Center in Frisco, Texas took place under the Steel Cage MMA promotional banner. 24 year old bantamweight prospect Joseph Sandoval (4-0) stole the show with a impressive performance versus Shark Fights vet Doug Frey (8-4).
Fighting Lubbock, TX Sandoval took it to the favored Frey. Sandoval put away Frey with a flurry of punches midway through the second round. Since making his pro debut in April 2010, Sandoval has fought at hectic pace that includes three wins with Amarillo's Shark Fights.
