Sexual harassment, threatening behavior, physical intimidation are just a few of the laundry list of allegations that have rocked the tight knit community of Women's mixed martial arts in the last week. On Sunday May 19th Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp released a statement on her Facebook page warning potential fighters of MMA managers who have been lying and threatening to blackball athletes from her all women's promotion.In the original post the MMA manager remained unnamed.
After the warning Bloody Elbow expanded on the story and spoke to multiple fighters on record about Addison Sports Management president Brett Atchley's deplorable business practices. From Knapp's Facebook page on Wednesday May 22nd:
"My personal sadness is that I am just now finding out about all of the sexual misconduct allegations. My disgust beyond words not only comes from the sexual misconduct, but from the use of my name and my company name to intimadate these athletes. I haven't posted much on the situation since I posted the warning a couple days ago for the sheer fact that I couldn't muster any level of professionalism in a response."

Trivia question, the first fighter to ever be shown in EA Sports new UFC game was lightweight and featherweight contender Anthony Pettis. (16-2). In a 90 second trailer designed to showcase EA Sports new IGNITE engine Pettis along with the tentatively titled "EA Sports UFC" game took on a starring role. Gameplay footage of Pettis unleashing his famous Showtime Kick on the jaw of Benson Henderson was played alongside scenes from FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25 and NBA Live 14.
The EA Sports UFC video will be released within the next 12 months on the new Xbox One gaming platform. Further information about the UFC's first video game with EA Sports may be announced June 11-13th at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo held at the Los Angeles convention center.

Inside the famed Nilson Nelson Gymnasium mixed martial arts organization Shooto held their 39th Brazilian based event. At the top of the card bantamweight prospect Zeilton Rodrigues (12-3) scored the first clean knockout of his career. Rodrigues was matched versus Claudio Rocha (6-2) in the main event of Shooto Brazil 39.
Before the bell for round two, Rodrigues landed a punch to the head of Rocha that ended the fight. Rodrigues came into the fight with five TKO wins but never a KO victory. Rocha had never been stopped in his eight fight pro career.

Video: Germany’s best prospect Benjamin Brinsa now 13-0 after round one submission win

Middleweight prospect Benjamin Brinsa (13-0) scored a win over a UFC veteran in the main event of La Famila Fight Night 4 in his home country of Germany. Brinsa was matched up with two-time UFC competitor Dan Stittgen (7-4).The fight begins at the 3:28 mark with Brinsa in the black shorts with white trim.
Just his second bout in 20 months, Brinsa showed off his herlaed submission skills in his brief 33second win over Stittgen. The 6'0 Brinsa has won seven of his 13 pro bouts via the submission. On the UFC's radar and just 23 years old Brinsa has the ability to compete both at middle and welterweight.

Professional face puncher Paul Daley (32-12-2) continued his world tour while he waits for a Bellator FC fight in Dubai. Daley was paired with Brazilian journeyman Rodrigo Ribeiro (9-11) in the main event of Dubai FC 4. The 30 year old Daley's visa issues have kept him out of the Bellator cage and he last stepped in the cage for Ireland promotion Cage Contender in February.

MMA videographer Cynthia Vance put together an excellent five minute plus video capturing the history of women's mixed martial arts. WMMA's has gained significant momentum over the past 12-18 months. 2012 into 2013 saw Ronda Rousey garner mainstream media attention, all-female promotion Invicta FC have a banner first year, and the UFC add a female bantamweight division to its roster.
With a soundtrack of Atticus Ross and Florence + the Machine music, Vance highlights footage of the pre-2005 days of WMMA all the way up to the UFC 157 main event in "History of WMMA".
