Honolulu, HI - One of Hawaii's best cards of 2009 flew under the radar for many fight fans. Up N Up 3 featured two local fighters in the 135 and 145 pound weight classes respectively, who deserve a opportunity to showcase their talents in the WEC or in a big show in Japan.

Bantamweight Mark Oshiro improved his record to 12-2 with his win over Felipe Chavez. An Elite XC veteran Oshiro has been a pro fighter since 2004. The long striker and underrated grappler beat Chavez on the mat rather than in the center of the cage.

Oshiro, who was coming off a 13 month hiatus, dropped the first round to Chavez and nearly got caught in an armbar on more than a few occasions. In the second frame the crafty Oshiro and was able to put away the New Mexico trained Chavez.

Brandon Visher silenced many of his critics with his win over previously unbeaten Isaac De Jesus. Visher moved his record to 12-0 with the third round TKO win. In the past Visher's record came under fire due to a good portion of his wins coming against fighters with sub .500 records.

Visher put his lighting fast hands on display dropping De Jesus once in the first round and twice in the second from strikes. The Hawaiian featherweight now has back to back big names wins with the De Jesus win piggybacking a June victory over island veteran Ed Newalu.
