Action Fight League Results
Hollywood, FL - Prospects from both genders emerged at Action Fight League's Rumble at the Rock event.
Looking to rebound from his loss to Frank Trigg middleweight Danny Babcock shut out Arriel Gandulla in the three round main event of the night.
For Babcock, who is still just 26 years old, the continued success of Frank Trigg further validates is standing in the local middleweight MMA picture.
Hailing from Port Saint Lucie, Babcock's unanimous decision loss to Trigg in February 2009 is considered a quality loss. Despite his recent struggles at welterweight; Trigg still holds wins over top 20 middleweights Jason Miller and Kazuo Misaki at 185 pounds.
Junior flyweight Jessica Pene kept her perfect 7-0 record intact with a second round submission win over Angela Magana. Magana, a veteran of the Hook n' Shoot promotion, hung in tough for nearly two rounds before succumbing to a rear naked choke at the 4:10 mark of the second frame.
The submission win was the fourth in Pene's career.
Coming off a win versus Tammie Schneider at a Bellator Fighting Championship event in May, the 26 year old Pene is a legit four star prospect at 115 lbs.
