New Munster, WI -- The continued maturation of lightweight Pat Curran was on display at Xtreme Fighting Organization 32. Pat, the cousin of grappling wizard Jeff Curran, took on Midwest journeyman Jay Ellis as part of the professional fights of XFO 32.

The Curran versus Ellis match-up was a rematch of a November 2008 Extreme Challenge promotion win for Curran by rear naked choke in less than a minute.

10 months later the result was a choke in under a minute, but this time Curran sunk in a guillotine to end the fight at the 58 second mark.

The win for Curran pushed his overall record to 9-2. At only 22 years of age and a little over 18 months of professional in ring experience Curran is rated as one of the top MMA prospects in the Midwest, regardless of weight class. His surname may have opened doors for him earlier in his career, but Pat has established himself as a talent that speaks for itself.

Curran is currently ranked at number 39 in the Ultmma50, a pound for pound list of the top 50 unsigned MMA prospects in the sport.

Now with 40 professional fights to his credit, at times it is hard to believe that Bart Palaszewski is still only 26 years old. Palaszewski was pitted against 23 year old Tyler Combs of Ohio. The fight went deep into the second period before Palaszewski took over with his stand-up, finishing off Combs with a TKO victory.

Palaszewski, is now 3-2 in his last five fights, including a 1-2 record in the WEC and is may be one more impressive performance away from getting a call up to a major promotion.
