Hankinson, ND -No matter what weight he competes at four star prospect Clint Godfrey just wins. In the main event of Battle at the Boarder 3 Godfrey took to the cage versus Josh Rave. The fight was a rematch of 2007 fight, won by Godfrey in the first round.

In 2009, the outcome was the same but the path to it was tougher for Godfrey. Rave, who has recently made waves in the 125 pound flyweight division, came in as the smaller fighter and showed great determination in hanging with Godfrey for two plus rounds.

The third round saw Godfrey take Rave down and attack with a steady diet of punches, forcing Rave to submit at 2 minutes and 34 seconds into round three. The win was the eighth in a row for Godfrey and his fourth victory on the year.

For Godfrey 2010 may be the year he makes the permanent move down to 135 pounds and the bantamweight division. The 26 year old out of South Dakota has fought as high as the 155 pound lightweight class. Godfrey currently trains out of Dynamic MA in Rapid City, SD.

Clocking in at number 31 in the ULTMMA50, Godfrey is an interesting prospect with a strong wrestling base to fall back on. The ULTMMA50 is a pound for pound listing of the top 50 unsigned prospects in MMA.
