For the first time in 10 months four prospect Jarrod Card (11-3-1) stepped into the cage. Card co-headlined Cage Rage 3 presented by Atlas Fights in Biloxi, Mississippi versus veteran Aaron Williams (17-3).

After a full 15 minutes of cage time Card was declared the winner via split decision (29-28 x 2, 28-29). For Card the win was his fourth in a row dating back to 2007.

The last time MMA fans saw Card in action he went to war with Bruce Connors for five rounds at XFC live on HDNet. At 30 years old, Card still remains an interesting prospect if he can stay more active with his fight schedule in 2010.

The ex US Navy member possesses a high level combination of striking and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Card is currently ranked number 33 in the ULTMMA50, a pound for pound listing of the top 50 prospects in MMA; due to his grappling ability on the mat and his quality of opposition he has faced during his four year pro career.

In the main event Florida's Matt McCook (7-2) subbed 25 plus fight veteran JC Pennington (14-11-1) early in the second round. Also a 145 pound prospect a McCook vs. Card fight would be a good test for both men and could headline any number of MMA promotions in the Southeast region.
