PCF in Indiana MMA results – Johnny Rees submits Jason Gilliam & HW prospects James Shaw wins again
In a battle of ex-UFC fighters middleweight Johnny Rees (12-2) defeated Jason Gilliam (13-5) in the first round of the main event of Premier Cage Fighting. Rees, an Indiana native locked in a guillotine choke midway through the opening round on Gilliam.
Rees has now won two in a row since leaving the UFC in December 2008. Gilliam has dropped his last three bouts, with a 3-3 record overall mark since leaving the Octagon.
The leading prospect on the card was 21 year old heavyweight James Shaw (2-0). After two successful amateur fights Shaw turned pro in November 2009. Shaw was able to put away Tay King (2-1) in the second round via TKO after a competitive seven minutes of action.
