The highly anticipated debuts of two heavyweight prospects in the UFC have been rumored or finalized during the past week. At UFC 113 undefeated Chad Corvin (6-0) will enter the Octagon for the first time versus Joey Beltran (11-2).

The 23 year old Corvin will have little time to shake off any ring rust, having not seen action since February 2009. Corvin, a Kentucky product, began his MMA career in March 2007. In six professional fights none of Corvin's opponents have made it past the opening five minutes.

A former Kentucky high school wrestler Corvin is a four star prospect in the heavyweight division. Corvin has always projected as national organization talent; checking in as the number three ULTMMA heavyweight prospect as well as earning a spot in the ULTMMA50 at number 27 when both rankings were initially released.

In the bantamweight division fast rising prospect Demetrious Johnson (9-0) will make his WEC debut versus England's Brad Pickett (18-4) at WEC 48. Fighting out of Washington State, Johnson has been unstoppable on the local level.

Nicknamed "Mighty Mouse" seven of Johnson's nine wins have come inside the first round. Training out of AMC Pankration, Johnson last saw action at Alaska Fighting Championship 68 in February where he landed a highlight reel head kick KO on his opponent Jesse Brock.

Still only 23 years old Johnson is a young and explosive 135 pounder. Johnson makes for a solid four star prospect, but starting with Pickett will get no easy fights in the WEC's deep bantamweight division.

According to MMAjunkie.com the first fight booked for The Ultimate fighter season 11 finale will be a heavyweight affair between newcomer Travis Browne (9-0) and James McSweeney (4-4).

Browne is fresh off the two biggest wins of his career. In a span of 16 days Browne knocked out Ultimate Fighter season 10 cast member Abe Wagner and 12 year MMA vet Aaron Brink. The 6'7 Browne has needed a grand total of 52 seconds of in ring time to score his past three KO victories.

The 27 year old out of California made his pro debut a little over 13 months ago and has maintained a very active schedule of fights. Currently training at the Alliance Training Center in San Diego, CA Browne has earned a reputation as a heavyweight striker.

Browne's first UFC opponent, McSweeney is a known kick boxer with little interest in taking the fight to the mat. A Browne versus McSweeney is booked with KO or fight of the night honors in mind.
