Miesha Tate Headlines Oct. 3rd Cage Sport MMA in Tacoma

Tacoma, WA -- Women's bantamweight prospect Miesha Tate has scheduled her next fight. The 23 year old from Washington, will be the main event in her hometown on Saturday October 3rd.

The Cage Sport MMA event will be held at the Emerald Queen Casino with an opponent to be announced shortly.

Tate posted the news via her MySpace account.

"Fighting Oct. 3rd in my hometown Tacoma WA. I will be the MAIN EVENT at the Emerald Queen Casino! Please come and show your support, it may be one of the last times I have the opportunity to fight here! I'm moving to Cali soon and I would love to see all your faces there before I head south!!" Tate said.

Tate, a four star 135 pound prospect, is coming off a loss in May to Sarah Kaufman at Strikeforce's Challengers event in Fresno, CA. The defeat snapped a five winning streak for Tate and moved her overall record to 6-2.

A homecoming for Tate this will be the first time she has fought in her home state since a November 2008 victory over Jamie Lynn Welsh.
